Accessing and responding to pupils’ collective concerns is an important part of the operations and governance of SRET Academies. All schools have Pupil Councils. Each Local Governing Committee (LGC) is expected to give due regard to issues that are raised through Pupil Council and the management of actions taken in response to the issues.
Parental Voice is formally built into the governance structure with the election of a proportion of Parent Local Governors to each LGC. Staff Voice is similarly built into the LGC structure with the election (by staff) to each LGC of two employees of their respective Academy (one Teacher and one Support Staff Member)
